After the shameful Kathua rape and murder case, another such horrific incident has happeneed in Surat. A nine-year-old girl's body was found with over 80 injuries, including some to her private parts.

After a long postmortem which took 5 hours, it was found that the girl was raped and tortured for at least 8 days,after which she was strangled to death.
A wooden weapon, was the cause for many injuries, the forensic head of the Civil Hospital in Surat said, adding the girl was finally strangled.

The body was found by the police on April 6 at a ground in Surat's Bhestan area, but the girl has not been identified yet.
