TOOOPLE Announces Virtual Projects For Students To Build Employable Skills

TOOOPLE Announces Virtual Projects For Students To Build Employable Skills

A well-established TOOOPLE Pte Ltd of Singapore has built a cloud based platform to bring best of class delivery methodologies and services together to solve key market problems in Higher Education space.

“With the automation and technologies impacting adversely on number of jobs coupled with the lack of employable skills among graduates indeed making it difficult for the companies to find the right talent in most of the developing countries,” says an official press release from the company.

In that backdrop, TOOOPLE begun its operations in India through TOOOPLE Digital Skills PvtLtd to meet the local requirements.

The TOOOPLE platform allows students;

(a) to develop problem solving skills through algorithms

(b) develop classroom projects under the guidance of mentors/with peers;

(c) build their ePortfolio of projects and accredited skills to showcase to the potential employers;

(d) apply for relevant internships and jobs hosted by enterprises; and

(e) work on virtual internship projects offered by enterprises and senior mentors to enhance the ePortfolio and obtain completion certificate.

TOOOPLE also provides internship programs for unemployed computer science graduates, mentorship for student projects required to improve employability and it has recently concluded projects for students from 10 institutions including JNTUH.

“The outcome was extremely positive and now will be rolling out for students across the country,” the press note claims.

“I have enrolled into a project on ‘information security” to do virtually with support from experienced mentors from TOOOPLE India. This project was being done in a group of 4 and I find it very useful, and strongly feel that it’s a good substitute for the regular industry attachment. As we didn’t get an opportunity this year being a remotely located campus, this option worked out well. Our experience was excellent and now comfortable to use technology based collaborative tools. I am confident, I will be able to secure a job through this and strongly recommend to other students who are not able to secure industry attachments” –  MOHAMMAD ABDUL AERAF;DEPT OF CSE – 2017 Graduate
JNTUH COLLEGE OF ENGG MANTHANIIndia

In today’s world, the availability of experienced IT Practitioners for students to work on physical industry attachments is becoming a challenge. This is due to the increasing distances between the institutions and workplace, face-time from the project managers due to their tight schedules, the stringent physical & cyber security measures implemented by the organizations, packed student academic schedules to list a few..In addition, the current professionals need to meet the self learning demands due to massive technology changes globally.

TOOOPLE program for 25 final year Computer Science students for over 6 weeks has been excellent and students were involved actively in those projects in such a way that they were doing a software project in a company. Being virtual mentoring, the students extensively communicated with the mentor through Video that also helped them to develop communication and interviewing skills” – HOD; Computer Science and Engineering; Godavari Institute of Engineering  and Technology, Rajahmundry, India

One of the key challenges repeatedly faced by corporate recruiters is that the theoretical knowledge imparted by colleges is no longer enough for a competitive world. One who does professional projects will go a long way in their job readiness. Mr. Krishna Sistla, founding director of TOOOPLE, said that “Our mentor enabled projects with focus on latest technologies will help students to get a closure to their employability learning and prepare them for the real world of corporate employment especially when massive churning in the industry is taking place”
