I am second Lalu Yadav in Bihar, says Tej Pratap Yadav; claims RJD gave ticket to bootlickers

Staking his claim on his father’s political legacy Tej Pratap Yadav claimed he was the second Lalu in Bihar. Taking potshot at Tejashwi Yadav, his younger brother and heir apparent of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap said he carries the blood of his father who is also his idol as well as his guru.

Addressing a rally in favour of his candidate Chandra Prakash in Jahanabad, Lalu Yadav’s elder son made a veiled attack at his younger brother who is handling the party affairs after Lalu went to jail in a corruption case.

Mocking Tejashwi for cancelling many of his scheduled rallies due to health constraints Tej Pratap said that his father Lalu Prasad is a very energetic man who used to attend 10-12 programmes in a day but now, leaders fall sick in just two to four programmes.

In an indirect reference to the ticket distribution in the RJD Tej Pratap claimed that bootlickers have been given the party ticket.

He further expressed confidence that Chandra Prakash, who has been fielded from his newly floated outfit Lalu-Rabri Morcha, will win the Jahanabad seat with a margin of more than one lakh.

Tej Pratap had earlier pushed for the candidature of his confidants Angesh Kumar and Chandra Prakash from Sheohar and Jahanabad and had appealed to his father and Tejashwi who handles the party affairs to give a thought to his proposal.

The disgruntled former health minister of Bihar is also campaigning against his father-in-law Chandrika Rai, who is the party candidate from Saran parliamentary constituency in Bihar and is urging people to not vote for him.
