BSNL working on aggressive plan for recovery

These days, the public sector company BSNL, which is struggling with cash problem, is working on a plan to take aggressive steps to recover the arrears from its customers. The company expects to recover a large amount from the arrears of over Rs 3,000 crore in the next two-three months. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is taking this step at a time when the company is under a lot of pressure on the financial situation and due to this it has delayed the payment of salaries of employees for the second time this year. BSNL released the salary of the employees for the month of July on August 5. BSNL chairman and managing director PK Purwar said, "Our company owes over customers there is more than 3,000 crore." We are taking aggressive steps for its recovery ... We are also getting success in this direction. Purwar said that it is difficult to tell the time frame for recovery of the entire outstanding amount, but BSNL expects to recover a large amount from it in the next two-three months. The company also expects to receive increased income from rentals. This year, BSNL is eyeing about Rs 1,000 crore revenue from rentals. Last time it was 200 crores.  The plan envisages leasing more space and leasing more space for existing buildings. Apart from this, BSNL is also working on repairing 'outsourced' works to save about 200 crores annually.
