KCR Goes Nostalgic, Recalls Ridiculous Prediction Of Dooms Day If T-State Formed

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday slammed all those critics who predicted ‘dooms day’, if the new Telangana state is formed.

At a function organized to felicitate the outgoing and first Director-General of Police of new Telangana state, Anurag Sharma, the Chief Minister gives full credit to the former for his ability to make most peaceful state in the country as far as law and order situation is concerned..

He said it was a proud moment for the Telangana state that it became number one state in the country in terms of maintaining the law and order and introducing new policing concepts. In Telangana state, the police are not only confining themselves to their duties but also taking responsibility on several social issues.

The grand farewell function was organized at Prathi Bhavan, which was attended by the. Deputy CMs – Kadiyam Srihari and Mohammad Mahmood Ali, besides other cabinet colleagues, including Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Jagdeesh Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy, Jogu Ramanna. Government’s Chief Advisor Sri Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Sri SP Singh, DGP Sri Mahender Reddy, several MLAs, MLCs, Corporation Chairmen, IAS, IPS, IFS officers were also present.

Responding to praises showered on him, Sharma said in the past no DGP ever had the privilege of having such a farewell. “ I consider this gesture as being accorded to entire force and not to one individual, that’s me for our sincere efforts”, he said.

He expressed confidence that the Chief Minister will also cherish his ‘Bangaru Telangana” initiative sooner than later.
