Indian film fraternity wishes fans Happy Dussehra

Mumbai,  A string of Indian film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ajay Devgn and Kajol have wished their fans a year full of love, light and happiness on the occasion of Dussehra on Sunday.

Dussehra or Vijaya Dashmai is celebrated annually across the country on the last day of Navratri and signifies the victory of good over evil.

Here's what they have tweeted:

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan wrote: "Ma Durga .. ma Saraswati ka sneh aashirwaad sada bana rahe."

South star Nagarjuna Akkineni wrote a message for his fans and followers. He said: "Wishing all my friends a very happy Dussehra!"

Actor Ajay Devgn stressed on wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing norms to triumph over Covid-19.

He wrote: "Dussehra is a festival when good always triumphs over Evil. Let's all maintain social distance, wear masks and defeat the common evil. #HappyDussehra."

Actress Kajol said: "Let's all burn our judgments and negativity this Dussehra. Wishing you a positive and calm year ahead #HappyDussehra."

South star Mahesh Babu simply tweeted: "Wishing you all a very #HappyDussehra!"

Actress Sara Ali Khan sent out wishes on the occasion and wrote: "Dusshera ki hardik shubhkaamnei #happy #dusshera Wishing everyone happiness, prosperity and success!"

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh tweeted: "May this festival of triumph bring a token of luck for you and both Suraj and Mangal in their epic face-off!"

Actor Emraan Hashmi had a simple tweet. He wrote: "Wishing everyone a very happy Dussehra. #HappyDussehra."

Actress Nimrat Kaur first wished "very one a "Happy Dussehra" and then mentioned "may light and goodness prevail. Always, Within and outside of us."

Actor Abhishek Bachchan said: "Aapko ek ujjwal, khush aur shantipurn Dusshera aur Vijay Dashami ki hardik shubhkaanei #HappyDussehra."

Actor Sidharth Malhotra wrote: "A time for celebration, a time for victory of good over evil, a time when we believe in the power of good. #HappyDussehra."

South actress Hansika Motwani tweeted: "Wishing you all a very #HappyDussehra."

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha tweeted about being showered with happiness.

"May all evil in your lives burn and you be showered upon with hapiness! A very #HappyDussehra to all!"

Actress Chitrangda Singh urged everyone to spread love.

"This #Dussehra let's try to overcome the darkness of the evil within and Let the good shine through.. #spreadlove #HappyDussehra to all!"
