Salman Khan addressed the brutal gangrape of an eight-year-old child in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Race 3 in Mumbai on May 15. Condemning the tragic incident of child abuse and harassment, Salman said: "I think whatever is happening with children is wrong."
At the event, Salman was asked to comment on the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao apart from the Kathua rape case.
"I think we should stand on this and get this stopped," Salman added while answering the press. Celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar and others flooded social media with angry tweets after details of the Kathu and Unnao rape cases were made available in April.
