Andhra Pradesh: Know our great Social reformer during the days of British India, Smt. Muthulakshmi Reddy . She was born on this day in the year 1886 ! She had many firsts to her name !! She was the first female student to be admitted into a men's College; the first woman House surgeon in Govt Maternity hospital; the first woman legislator in British India , among few !! She was awarded Padma Bhushan in the year 1956 !!

She was so great that her name was included in the first national flag hoisted on Red Fort in 1947 !!

It is very unfortunate that large number of Indians do not know about this worthy daughter of India !!
