Hyderabad: Telangana State Animal Husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav escaped unhurt while a ruling party MLA was injured after the minister’s vehicle was hit by a lorry on the Outer Ring Road on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The minister along with Medchal MLA M Sudheer Reddy was proceeding to lay the foundation stone for the Administrative Complex of the newly-formed Medchal district. As the minister’s convoy reached Keesara on the ORR, a lorry coming from behind hit the vehicle in which Srinivas Yadav was travelling.

Luckily, Srinivas Yadav escaped unhurt but the MLA suffered minor head injuries. The minister went ahead with his official schedule as usual after the incident.

Police took the lorry driver into custody for questioning.
