
Chhattisgarh Governor Balram Das Tandon passed away on Tuesday morning after the sudden breakdown of his health. Though he was rushed to the Dr. B R Ambedkar Memorial Hospital for treatment in Raipur, he could not be saved. He was 90. A native of Punjab, he was the six-time MLA. Tandon was one of the founding members of the Jan Sangh which later became the BJP. He became the governor of Chhattisgarh in July 2014 and also held the Deputy CM post of Punjab.
