Hyderabad: Five of a family including three women and a two-year-old child were found dead in the bushes near the outer ring road (ORR) under Cyberabad police commissionerate limits on Tuesday morning.

According to the Cyberabad police, the deceased have been identified as Prabhakar Reddy (30), son Vashist (2), wife Madhavi (26), aunt Laxmi (42) and her daughter Sindhuja (16), all natives of Ameenpur village in Sangareddy district.

Bodies of Madhavi, Laxmi and Sindhuja were found together and the bodies of Prabhakar and his son Vashist were found in a car parked at some distance, with no external injuries on any of the bodies. Based on the prima facie evidence, police believe that it could be a suicide pact due to a financial crisis. Further, strengthening this argument, police said, pieces of cake and soft drinks mixed with poison were found at the site and froth was seen from the mouths of the deceased.

Prabhakar Reddy, who was into stock market business was living with his family in Ashok Nagar of RC Puram in Hyderabad. Prabhakar’s aunt Laxmi, wife of ITW Signode employee, Ravinder Reddy, was living in ITW Signode Colony in Ameenpur.

The five deceased had allegedly told other members of their family that they would be visiting Dindi reservoir and dam on Monday. Prabhakar Reddy had also reportedly called his uncle during Monday afternoon to inform that the keys of the house were kept outside and they would be returning by evening. Soon after that, his phone was not reachable.

On Tuesday, some locals alerted the police on seeing the bodies of three women lying together in the bushes. Then, the officials from Narsingi and Ameenpur police stations along with Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya rushed to the spot for inspection.

The bodies are being shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination, while police are collecting details from the spot to ascertain the reasons for the incident.
