The box office is ringing with the buzz made for the release of the new movie 2.O starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The movie released in 10,000 screens worldwide and the trade experts are hoping that the movie would create huge records on an opening day.

The movie opened to positive reviews, encouraging word of mouth from everyone in the country. The film started with the success talk from the morning show itself. With housefull board all over, 2.O is expected to be the highest grossing movie in Kollywood.

Popular critic and UAE Censor board member Umair Sandhu has tweeted about the film's collections and made some interesting predictions. The following is his tweet.

The film took a thunderous opening at the box office and is on track to shatter several records. Rajinikanth's 2.0 has collected a whopping Rs 2.64 crore in Chennai pushing Vijay's Sarkar to the second place. Sarkar had earned 2.37 crore on its opening day.

It is said that 2.0's box office collection on its first day is an all-time highest opening a film has got in Chennai.

The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer has also performed exceptionally well in the international market. It has raked in nearly Rs 2 crore in the US, Rs 58 lakhs in Australia and over Rs 11 lakhs in New Zealand.

Reports suggest that the tickets have been sold out for the coming weekend and it is said that the box office collection will hit a new high.

2.0 is a story about harmful radiation that emits from the cellphone towers and the adverse effects it has on the birds.

The official numbers are yet to be announced by looking at the way he stated it, we are sure that Rajini is going to shatter all the existing records with the movie 2.O.
